The farm operates as an active agricultural property that participates in agritourism, a land use recognized under North Carolina law that allows the public to visit working farms for educational, recreational, and cultural experiences connected to agriculture and rural life.
Events hosted at the farm are designed to be farm-centered and secondary to agricultural use, meaning they support and highlight the working landscape rather than replace it. Gatherings often include elements such as farm tours, animal interaction, outdoor education, local food systems, and hands-on learning tied to land stewardship and rural heritage.
The farm’s agritourism activities may include, but are not limited to:
All agritourism uses are conducted in accordance with applicable North Carolina General Statutes related to agritourism, and events are managed to minimize traffic, noise, and environmental impact while supporting the long-term viability of the farm.

Sky Maple Farm is not a single-purpose event venue—it is a living, working landscape designed to be experienced. Instead of fixed walls and ballrooms, gatherings unfold across open pastureland, under wide skies, and alongside nature. Guests can meet gentle miniature ponies, wander to the pond for quiet moments or photos on the dock, and experience events set beneath transparent tents that allow the sunset, stars, and surrounding fields to remain part of the celebration.
The farm’s openness creates a sense of calm and authenticity that traditional venues can’t replicate. Every event feels grounded in place—shaped by light, weather, animals, and the land itself—making each gathering feel personal, immersive, and entirely its own.
